About this event
We're partnering with the YWCA to bring Care for Kids to East End Branch! This engaging age-appropriate program for children ages 3-7 helps young learners build confidence, understand body boundaries, and practice using their voices. Through stories, discussion, and interactive activities, children will explore positive self-esteem, safe decision-making, and how to talk to trusted adults. Best for ages 3 - 7 with a caregiver present. Join Richmond Public Library as we learn, grow, and practice powerful skills together! The goal of Care for Kids is to support students, staff, and caregivers in preventing violence by encouraging positive self-esteem, an understanding of body boundaries, coping with boundary violations, promoting open and comfortable conversations between adults and children, and adult responsibility for the healthy development of children.
