About this event
This event has been rescheduled to August 28th. The Innisfree Explorers Series for Curious Kids Join us on Friday afternoons in late July and August for a weekly series of hands-on outdoor programs designed especially for curious kids and their grown-ups. Families can sign up for all four workshops or pick and choose the dates that work best for them. Each week explores a different side of Innisfree, from lake life and nature art to sensory plants and scavenger hunts. Programs include short, guided walks, close observation, creative activities, and plenty of time to wonder, ask questions, and explore. These workshops are recommended for children ages 6–10, but families are welcome to decide which programs are the best fit for their child’s interests and attention span. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required for both children and accompanying adults, but workshop fees apply only to participating children. Session 2: Nature Arts & Crafts Take a creative walk through the garden and gather inspiration from the natural materials all around us. Kids will collect fallen leaves, bark, seeds, and other natural treasures—without picking or harvesting from living plants—to create custom trail bracelets that capture the textures, colors, and memories of their walk. Afterward, we’ll make bark and leaf rubbings, create nature mobiles, and press leaves, seeds, bark, and other natural materials into clay to make textured nature impressions. Join us for a wonderfully crafty afternoon inspired by the colors, textures, and patterns of the natural world. Registration is limited to 12 children.
