What is a legacy? According to the musical Hamilton, it’s planting seeds in a garden you never get to see or, put more simply, it’s standing for something that impacts people long after you’re gone. Ever since the Declaration of Independence, the people of Windsor have stood to protect the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. From Constitutional framer Oliver Ellsworth, to suffragist Agnes McCormick, to Windsor Historical Society founder George Crosby, Windsorites throughout history worked to build a stronger, more inclusive community.
