Mixing Appalachian traditions and an innovative edge, the Jeff Little Trio delivers high-energy shows fueled by amazing musicianship. Rooted in music from the Blue Ridge mountains, Jeff’s virtuosic piano drives their remarkable sound. Award winning musicians Steve Lewis and Luke Little provide intricate guitar, banjo and mandolin. Together they bridge past and present, resonating both history and innovation. From NPR to international stages, their shows have captivated audiences across the globe Performances include The Smithsonian Institution, The National Folk Festival, American Piano Masters, The Barns of Wolf Trap and many theatres, performing arts centers, and festivals. Jeff has been featured on NPR and PBS many times and has also taken his music around the world for the US Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs performing in Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Pakistan, Oman, France and Tanzania. In 2014 Jeff was inducted into the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame. Steve Lewis is a critically acclaimed and an award-winning musician on both acoustic guitar and the five string banjo. Steve has won many championships on guitar and banjo including Merlefest, Renofest, and the Wayne Henderson Guitar Competition. In addition, Steve has won the Walnut Valley National Championships on guitar and twice on the banjo. Luke Little is a very talented mandolin player who is recongnized for his accomplished musicianship and style. Luke’s performances include the National Folk Festival, The Moss Center for the Performing Arts Virginia Tech, Merlefest Mandomania, and the Montana Folk Festival. Jeff Little is a groundbreaking pianist, creative bridge-builder between Appalachian traditions and diverse genres, respected educator, and dynamic performer whose contributions continue to shape the future of roots music.
