Daniel Grindstaff and The Uptown Troubadours
A two-time IBMA-nominated banjo standout, Daniel Grindstaff has built an extraordinary career in Bluegrass and American roots music. A native of East Tennessee, he began performing professionally at just 18 years old on the Grand Ole Opry with legends Jim and Jesse McReynolds, later sharing the stage with the Osborne Brothers and touring extensively with Grammy winner Marty Raybon. Grindstaff’s career includes hundreds of Opry appearances, national television performances, and collaborations with top artists across Bluegrass, Country, and Acoustic music. His 2024 project Heroes & Friends marked a career milestone, with the IBMA-nominated “Forever Young” featuring Dolly Parton and Paul Brewster reaching No. 1 on multiple radio charts. Now joined by The Uptown Troubadours, Grindstaff is entering a bold new era marked by fresh energy, world-class musicianship and deep respect for Bluegrass tradition.
