On the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month, there will be a free movie matinee in the Library’s Community Room. The movies, all curated by Librarian Linda Reimer, are selected with adult viewers in mind. No need to sign up, just show up. This Month’s Matinee Movie will be: After The Thin Man, directed by W.S. Van Dyke and starring William Powell, Myrna Loy and James Stewart. Released in 1936, the film is unrated and runs 1h 52m. The Plot: Private detective Nick Charles and his wealthy wife Nora are back home at last and hoping for a quiet New Year when there is a murder. The obvious suspect is the victim’s wife, Nora’s cousin, Selma.
