On the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month, there will be a free movie matinee in the Library’s Community Room. The movies, all curated by Librarian Linda Reimer, are selected with adult viewers in mind. No need to sign up, just show up. This Month’s Matinee Movie will be: The Big Sleep, directed by Howard Hawks and starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. Released in 1946, the film is unrated and runs 1h 54m. The Plot: Private detective Philip Marlowe is hired by a wealthy family. Before the complex case is over, he’s seen murder, blackmail–and what might be love.
