In this workshop, we will cut through the confusing tech jargon to give you a clear, straightforward roadmap for online safety. We will expose the mechanics behind common cyber scams, show you how to easily tighten your digital privacy, and pull back the curtain on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the information we see. Learn how to identify AI-generated scams, spot red flags in suspicious emails or calls, and avoid falling to SMS scams to keep your hard-earned money exactly where it belongs: in your pocket. In this two-hour workshop, Dr. Levy will provide a presentation along with videos to illustrate the concepts and conclude with a Q&A session. Speaker: Yair Levy, Ph.D. | Professor, NSU College of Computing, AI, and Cybersecurity (CCAC) Dr. Levy is a Professor of IS and Cybersecurity and the Director of the Center for Information Protection, Education, and Research (CIPhER) at NSU's College of Computing, AI, and Cybersecurity. His current research interests include cybersecurity, social engineering, AI for cybersecurity, cybersecurity skills, competencies, awareness, and cyber threat mitigation.
