Writing – The Art of Noticing: the Practice of Nature Journaling

Deadline to Register: April 18th at 5:00pm Title: Writing – The Art of Noticing: the practice of Nature Journaling Description: This workshop explores accessible techniques for developing a nature journaling practice — we will cover basic supplies to get started, observational skills, simple drawing methods, and how to use phone photography and identification tools to support and deepen the practice. With time spent in the classroom and in the field, we will cover everything you need to begin this age-old art form. The focus is on documentation over perfection, building a habit that invites curiosity and connection with nature rather than demanding artistic skill. Instructor: Gracie Clark is a local artist who is inspired by her love of the natural world. Teaching classes in calligraphy, watercolor, and nature journaling, she loves to help others discover latent creative potential and engage with the wonders of nature. Supplies and Attire: All materials and supplies will be provided. Students bring water bottles and wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for outdoors. Weather permitting, we will be walking on the trails. Time: Saturday, April 25th, 12:00pm-3:00pm Tuition: $50.00 Supply Fee: $15.00 Level: Beginner ~~~~~~ Important Information: Registering for a workshop indicates that the student is 19 years of age or older and understands that photographs/video may be taken during the event and their image may be used on Burritt on the Mountain’s website and social media outlets or other promotional materials.
