Writers Open Mic

Please register through the library's website: https://berlinpeck.org/events/writers-open-mic/ Co-hosted by local writer, biographer, and historian John Loughery, the Writers Open Mic will feature local writers and members of the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library’s community writing group, showcasing stories around the theme of “gathering.” Each author will have 5 minutes to read a poem, short story, fiction, or nonfiction piece of their choosing. This event is limited to 12 readers; performers must register ahead of time and will read in order of registration. Additional readers will be added to the waitlist and may have an opportunity to read, depending on the time available, but performing is not guaranteed. We encourage you to attend as a performer or listener! While the Writers Open Mic is an inclusive space welcome to all expressions and perspectives, explicit content and hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated.
