Reader's Retreat

This laid-back gathering helps you carve out time to read without interruptions from daily life, and lets you enjoy the company of fellow book lovers… without the pressure of deadlines or discussions. We’ll start with 30 minutes of social time where you can discuss your current read, share recommendations, or simply chat about your love for books while enjoying refreshments and specialty mocktails. Then, find a cozy spot anywhere in the library for 40 minutes of quiet reading. Finally, we’ll gather again for a brief wrap-up. Everything is entirely optional. There are no assigned readings or attendance requirements. If you prefer to keep the silence or leave early, that’s perfectly fine! Registration is required. Please RSVP so we can plan for refreshments.
