Whimsical Workshop – Juniors Class

The Farm is open 12-7pm, with a very special hands-on craft event occurring in our hop field at noon when we open. After receiving feedback from our debut event in July, we’ve added a Junior Edition of our Whimsical Workshop! Bring your crafty kids for a crafty afternoon. This family-friendly event will occur in our picturesque hop field on Sunday August 30th and is geared towards junior crafters but welcomes any participants ages 8 and up. Build an enchanting fairy house for your garden, patio, or just about anywhere. All from a glass bottle, clay, wood, and a variety of natural materials. COST: $45 per ticket if you book before July 31st ($55 after that)… and there is a limited number of tickets available. Class fee covers instruction, all of the materials needed for one child to create a fairy house with their adult’s support… plus one beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). Adults are required to support their junior crafter throughout class. Junior crafters ages 12+ will need less hands on support from their guardian but do still need an adult present to help with some steps. Included with the session: 2.5 hours of guided instruction to sculpt and construct a fairy house Foraged natural materials such as acorns, twigs, shells, lichen and other interesting bits and bobs Craft supplies such as tiny wooden doors and windows clay, wire, paint, adhesives, silk flowers, gems etc Tools such as pliers, box cutters, sculpting instruments, hot glue guns. Dress in clothes you don’t mind getting fairy dust on, and be prepared to get a little creative, the rest will be provided!
