Deadline to Register: Thursday, April 9th, 2026 Title: Weekday Series: Visual Arts- ‘Watercolor Flowers’ Description: Spring is in the air, and the first blooms are stretching toward the sunshine! Join us for a refreshing watercolor flower painting experience that’s perfect for easing into the season. Spend a relaxing couple of hours with a skilled instructor who will guide you step‑by‑step into the world of watercolor florals. Your tuition includes all supplies, just bring yourself and a willingness to create. Whether you’re a complete beginner or already comfortable with a brush, this class is designed to be calming, fun, and inspiring. Instructor: Your instructor, Lynn Lawrence, has been painting since she was 7 years old. She started watercolor painting under the tutelage of her aunt, Ruth Brown, a well-known Alabama watercolorist. She went on to compete in high school, in a variety of media, and was offered a scholarship to the Art Institute of Atlanta. Sadly, she was pushed to pursue a business degree instead of following her heart. Much later in life, Lynn became a Certified Bob Ross instructor and taught his wet-on-wet technique throughout North Alabama up until 2020. She brings a love for light, color, and nature to every classroom. Supplies and Attire: All supplies included with tuition, including – Spiral-bound Emily Lex Flowers Watercolor Workbook featuring 12 different flowers to paint, durable 120lb custom watercolor paper, paint set includes 12 basic colors, plus black and brown, and one high-quality watercolor brush (normally sold separately), travel-ready 6.5 by 9-inch workbook and paint set in its own case.
