Three Sisters Scranton | AFA Gallery in Scranton Friday, October 9–Saturday, October 10, 2026 | Friday 7:30 PM; Saturday 1 & 5:30 PM Three Sisters Scranton comes to AFA Gallery in Scranton, PA, on Friday, October 9, and Saturday, October 10. Performances are Friday at 7:30 PM and Saturday at 1 and 5:30 PM as part of the 2026 Scranton Fringe Festival. Set inside an airport terminal, this new adaptation of Chekhov’s Three Sisters follows Olga, Masha and Irina as they await a long-anticipated flight to Moscow. The production begins with Chekhov’s familiar rhythms before expanding into stories of migration and displacement. The three women carry histories connected to Vietnam, India, Peru and beyond. Blending Chekhov’s text with poetry and firsthand accounts, the adaptation explores longing, hope and the enduring search for home. The work was created by artists with ancestral connections to migration and displacement. Tickets are $15. Three Sisters Scranton reimagines a theatrical classic through stories of migration, memory and belonging at the Scranton Fringe Festival in Scranton.
