Summer Walking Tours | Downtown Scranton in Scranton Select Fridays & Saturdays, June 6, 2026 – September 25, 2026 | Various Times Summer Walking Tours hosted by the Lackawanna Historical Society return to downtown Scranton throughout the summer season. These free guided tours give residents and visitors the opportunity to learn more about Scranton’s architecture, neighborhoods and local history. Each tour focuses on a different area of the city, including Courthouse Square, the Gothic District, the Lackawanna Avenue commercial district and the lower Hill Section. Guests will explore notable buildings, historic sites and stories connected to the city’s past during the guided walks. Tour schedule includes: Saturday, June 6 at 11:00 AM — Courthouse Square; meet at the corner of North Washington and Linden Saturday, June 20 at 11:00 AM — Gothic District; meet at Lackawanna College, corner of North Washington and Vine Friday, June 26 at 6:00 PM — Commercial and “Red Light” District; meet at Radisson Lackawanna Station Saturday, July 11 at 11:00 AM — Lower Hill Section; meet at Elm Park Church, corner of Linden and Jefferson Saturday, July 25 at 11:00 AM — Courthouse Square; meet at the corner of North Washington and Linden Saturday, August 8 at 11:00 AM — Commercial and “Red Light” District; meet at Radisson Lackawanna Station Friday, August 21 at 6:00 PM — Gothic District; meet at Lackawanna College, corner of North Washington and Vine Saturday, September 12 at 11:00 AM — Lower Hill Section; meet at Elm Park Church, corner of Linden and Jefferson Friday, September 25 at 6:00 PM — Courthouse Square; meet at the corner of North Washington and Linden All tours are limited to 10 participants.
