Born in the Walla Walla Valley, Diego grew up in a Hispanic household surrounded by diverse music, including Corridos, Cumbia, Rock, Hip Hop, Country, and Funk, but ultimately connected most with the Blues for its emotion and rawness. A self-taught musician, he started on bass in his high school jazz band before discovering his true passion for guitar, inspired by Freddie King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, Prince, and his mentor Gary Winston. Now 25, Diego has spent the past four years performing at clubs and festivals across the Northwest, opening for Curtis Salgado and building a loyal following with his high-energy performances that live up to his nickname, “Dynamite Diego.” No cover.
