About this event

During this meetup we're having an open discussion format (even more so than usual), with a suggestion of Retirement Planning Tools / Tracking Progress to spur discussion if needed. Here are a couple of links on the loose topic if interested: [“The Best Retirement Planning Apps” Investopedia Article](https://www.investopedia.com/articles/personal-finance/011916/best-retirementplanning-apps.asp) “Retirement Planning Software (2026): Empower vs Boldin vs Projection Lab” by Brittany Flammer ** See the Google Sheets list of past, present, and future meeting books / topics [here](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kBylGnpWgSGA4Ql-dPSginrzG0zaE934I5JRmW1lQUQ/edit?usp=drive_link) if interested. We also have a Google Doc [here](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1muzAM8Aco723KRu_rxivzGorfQiPQGrPLa9_FMAaEBg/edit?usp=drive_link) with some details / descriptions of upcoming meetings. Please note that everything listed in both of those is tentative – nothing is final until the event is scheduled, since we take in suggestions during meetings. * Some more general notes about the book club: We rotate through different types of books, with some covering historical or current events and others more along the lines of practical advice about how to do something. No specific ideas are necessarily endorsed – we try to read a variety of topics to expose ourselves to new ideas and ways of thinking. We try to grab the room to the back-right of Fortnight Brewing Company's main inside seating area (coming in the door on the front of the building, facing Maynard Road), but will get a table nearby if the room isn't available. * No worries about coming in mid-discussion ― we usually manage to get off-topic anyways ― and feel free to come even if you didn't manage to finish the book. Also, no shame if you listen to it on Audible!
