The Ferment | Electric City Trolley Station and Museum in Scranton Thursday, October 8–Saturday, October 10, 2026 | Thursday 6 PM; Friday 9 PM; Saturday 2:30 & 7 PM The Ferment comes to the Electric City Trolley Station and Museum in Scranton, PA, from Thursday, October 8, through Saturday, October 10. Performances are Thursday at 6 PM, Friday at 9 PM and Saturday at 2:30 and 7 PM as part of the 2026 Scranton Fringe Festival. Written by Alicia Lynn Grega, this original audio drama imagines a fractured United States following the Redveil pandemic and Meltdown of 2035. The story follows Sonja as she attempts to rebuild her life and stabilize her family after years of upheaval. An assignment eventually leads Sonja to a dangerous political protest and a group of young activists led by the charismatic Noel, changing the course of her life. This world premiere presents the first two episodes recorded live for a future podcast. The production features a full cast, sound design and opportunities for audience members to participate as extras. Tickets are $15. The Ferment brings live audio drama, speculative storytelling and audience participation to the Scranton Fringe Festival in Scranton.
