The Cowboy Confessional: “(It's A) Monster's Holiday”

The Cowboy Confessional is a one-of-a-kind, themed storytelling and music experience, featuring curated storytellers live-scored by your hosts, a band of phony cowboys. The show will remind you a bit of your favorite classic NPR weekend variety shows. This month’s theme is all about Halloween, with stories and songs about assorted monsters, imagined or real. Musical guest, Denver oddball psych favorites, Green Typewriters, will open the show with a special “unplugged” set. Your storytellers are: Josh Emerson – Josh’s show “Bad Indian” (a Native American comedy showcase whose mission is to develop and platform Indigenous stand up comedians) has been delighting sold out rooms across the West. Madeleine Lebovic – Madeleine is a storyteller and multimedia creative. She is also an EMT at a haunted house. Samantha Mitchell – Samantha read all of Stephen King’s works by the time she was ten, and somehow lived to tell you about it. Bethany Moore – Bethany is a poet, activist, and witch. The Cowboy Confessional band: The host band members have diverse backgrounds in comedy, music, and writing/illustration. Some of their credits include: STAB! Comedy TV, Loveland Choral Society, The Campers, The Opalites, Slate Falls Press, and school talent-show-reject lists.
