Technique Tune Up: Piano

In Technique Tune Up workshops, UVMC faculty review the fundamentals of technique for playing or singing, so that you can build confidence and refresh your memory. These workshops are especially for musicians who studied or played at an earlier part of their lives, but need a refresher to prepare for joining an ensemble or making practice a regular habit again. Technique Tune Up workshops are free and open to the community, with pre-registration required. This workshop will be led by UVMC faculty member Chenyu Wang, and help you get restarted in an efficient way. Re-introduce yourself to the instrument and how to play comfortably for both your hands and body, without tension or stress. We’ll discuss how to approach practice, and how to really listen to yourself so that you can find joy and satisfaction in playing the piano!
