Documents you need for free help from Tax-Aide: your social security card or ITIN number, picture ID, last year’s tax return, and any other tax-related paperwork you may have. If you prefer direct deposit/withdrawal, bring a blank check. Make sure to visit AARP.org for a full list of materials to have with you. All Tax-Aide volunteers are trained and certified by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) every year to ensure they understand all facets of the tax code.
