In meeting room.. Swan Creek Art Academy's Mobile Makerspace brings hands-on creative technology workshops directly to Tacoma Public Library branches, making high-quality arts and STEM education accessible in neighborhoods across the city. Each pop-up workshop transforms library meeting rooms into temporary makerspaces where participants of all ages can design and create personalized products such as laser-engraved coasters and keychains, UV-printed stickers and magnets, custom T-shirts, tote bags, buttons, and other maker projects using professional creative technology. Led by experienced teaching artists, workshops emphasize digital design, creativity, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving while introducing participants to industry-standard tools and software. Presented by Swan Creek Art Academy, hosted by Tacoma Public Library, and funded by Tacoma Creates - a program of the City of Tacoma.
