Join Metropolitan Youth Symphony for a special Community Concert, featuring the following MYS ensembles: Hillsboro Interlude Strings Sinfonietta Orchestra Symphonic Wind Ensemble Concert Orchestra, with MYS Concerto Competition Runner-Up Soren Holbrook (viola) About MYS: For fifty-one years, Metropolitan Youth Symphony has celebrated its mission to educate, develop, and promote young musicians (6-21 years old) at all musical levels and from all backgrounds. With some of the nation’s most comprehensive programming, MYS serves 400+ students from 172 schools in 14 orchestra, winds, jazz, and string ensembles. Together with free beginning string lessons, tuition assistance, loaner instruments, and in-school concerts at Title 1 schools, MYS is driven by a foundational commitment to make music education accessible to all. *Senior prices are intended for those 65 and older.
