About this event

Among the piñon and juniper of Santa Fe's foothills, Sierra del Norte offers a landscape that moves between intimate woodland and expansive views. Our gentle Forest Bathing invitations will encourage us to slow down, awaken the senses, and experience this familiar high-desert landscape with renewed attention. Although we will cover approximately one mile with a slight incline, much of our time will be spent sitting, standing, and slowly meandering. Rooted in the Japanese tradition of *Shinrin-yoku*, Forest Bathing is less about hiking and more about arriving—in presence, in place, and in ourselves. For our afternoon walk, we will meet at the Sierra del Norte Trailhead parking lot (off Hyde Park Rd). You will want to wear footwear, headwear, and layered clothing suitable for the terrain and weather. I also suggest bringing drinking water, a pad or small blanket for occasional sitting, and perhaps a journal. A few pads and portable stools will be available on-site. You will also be asked to complete a waiver. **Thanks to our sponsors:** Artful Tea: [https://artfultea.com](https://artfultea.com) Christus Health: [https://www.christushealth.org/locations/st-vincent](https://www.christushealth.org/locations/st-vincent) Forest Bathing Santa Fe: [https://www.forestbathingsantafe.com/](https://www.forestbathingsantafe.com/) Robin Creations: [https://www.byrobincreations.com/](https://www.byrobincreations.com/) tea.o.graphy: [https://tea-o-graphy.com](https://tea-o-graphy.com) **Pamela Fuhrmann, Santa Fe** Pamela is a certified ANFT Nature and Forest Therapy guide.
