Join us at Quincie Douglas Library on the first Saturday of every month from noon to 12:45 p.m. for a discussion of a short story. Free copies of each month's selection are available at the front desk two weeks before the discussion. Why short stories? They do a lot in just a few pages. Together, we'll explore questions like: How does the author accomplish so much in so little space? What themes or ideas stand out? Which passages caught your attention? In October, we'll read The Road Virus Heads North by Stephen King. Was it suspenseful for you? Scary? Why and how? Meet fellow readers and tell us what you thought.
