Seeking Officers for The Milena Chapter

A Call for Community Leaders, Organizers & Doers Richmond has plenty of people who want to make a difference. Let's get them working together. The Milena Chapter is seeking committed individuals interested in serving as officers and helping lead our growing community initiatives. Founded on the belief that collective action can accomplish more than isolated efforts, The Milena Chapter brings together people, organizations, businesses, and resources to address real needs throughout Richmond. Named in honor of Milena, the youngest daughter of founder Keith Duffin, the Chapter reflects her remarkable generosity, compassion, and instinct to help others. Our initiatives are growing, and we need people willing to help lead them. ### What We're Working On OpenBed: Connecting and coordinating shelter resources across RVA. OpenSmile: Building a network of volunteer dental professionals. Waste or Share: Redirecting surplus food and usable goods to people who need them. RVA.SUPPORT: Developing a central directory of services and tools for coordinated assistance. Digital Access: Distributing refurbished computers and phones and helping people obtain connectivity. Community Fridges: Supporting free access to food and everyday necessities. ### What We're Looking For We're seeking people who can: Take ownership of an initiative or area of responsibility. Help organize volunteers, resources, partnerships, and projects. Bring new ideas and help turn them into action. Collaborate with other officers and community organizations. Consistently show up and follow through. Have your own community project or idea? We especially welcome individuals who have been looking for a venue, organizational support, and like-minded people to help make their ideas possible. ### Officer Expectations This is a working leadership opportunity.
