Week 1 — Understanding Foster Care, Kinship Care & Adoption Today An educational session with experts from C2Adopt that helps the public understand the realities of foster care, waiting children, kinship care, and the need for permanent families for Virginia’s children. This session includes exploring myth vs. fact; how to become a foster or adoptive parent; spotlight on older youth and sibling groups; and other ways to support even if parenting is not for you. Join professionals from C2Adopt on Mondays during November for informational sessions related to National Adoption Awareness Month.
