Sculpture Needle Felt: Alien Autopsy

This event is intended for creators 14+ years of age. Greetings, Earthlings! Wool isn't from outer space, but maybe you can make something that looks out of this world. Learn the skill and art of needle felting to make a 3-D sculpture of an alien autopsy. This workshop will teach you all the fundamentals of shaping wool to create form with a specialized barbed needle. While instruction on making an alien will be provided, creativity in making your alien unique is encouraged. This small needle felted alien will be made into a keychain/charm. A great way to learn a new hobby is by making a fun, spooky craft. Tova Opatrny is the creator behind the YouTube channel Professor Pincushion, making high-quality video tutorials for beginners. Tova's work has appeared in HuffPost, Good Housekeeping, and Cosmopolitan, among others. She's written the book Professor Pincushion's Beginner Guide to Sewing: Garment Making for Nervous Newbies.
