Rosemaling Demonstration at the Old Courthouse Museum

Learn the Norwegian art of Rosemaling (or decorative painting) by watching Eileen Halverson demonstrate at the Old Courthouse Museum from 1-4 p.m. Stop in any time during the demonstration to observe or ask questions. Throughout the upper-Midwest, Norwegian immigrants brought this style of painting with them as a decoration on trunks and household items. The colors are bold, designs elaborate, and items became true works of art.
