Repair Café Silicon Valley at the Morgan Hill Library

Bring your broken household items and learn how to repair them with the help of experienced volunteers from Repair Café Silicon Valley. This free, drop-in event is offered on a first-come, first-served basis and is dedicated to reducing waste by helping community members repair and reuse everyday items instead of throwing them away. Volunteers will provide repair assistance and advice for many common household items, including clothing, small appliances, bicycles, electronics, lamps, toys, jewelry, and more. Participants are encouraged to observe the repair process, ask questions, and learn basic repair skills. Due to the popularity of these events, repairs are limited to two items per household. Check-in closes at 2:30 p.m., or earlier if capacity is reached. Examples of repair services include: Small electrical appliances: Troubleshooting and repairing common issues such as frayed power cords, loose connections, and corroded battery contacts. Small mechanical and household items: Repairing items such as hand tools, jewelry, loose screws, broken knobs, and other small household objects. Bicycle repair: Basic adjustments, diagnostics, and minor repairs including flat tires, brakes, shifters, kickstands, seats, and baskets, as time, tools, and supplies permit. Clothing and textile repair: Sewing on buttons, repairing seams, patching small holes, and other basic mending. Repair services are provided by volunteers, and repairs cannot be guaranteed. Availability depends on volunteer expertise, time, available parts, and the condition of each item. For accessibility accommodations (ex.
