There's nothing quite like getting laughs from your own comedy sketch! In this class, you will learn and practice the game structure of sketch comedy writing in a fun and supportive environment. In this 6-session class, you will learn and practice the game structure of sketch comedy writing in a fun and supportive environment. We’ll break down a variety of sketch types from troupes including SNL, Key and Peele, Mr. Show, and Monty Python to discover what makes these sketches 'funny.' You will then utilize these techniques to write your own sketches both in and out of class and develop confidence in your own unique sense of humor. You should be prepared to spend 1-3 hours per week writing outside of class, and should bring a laptop or tablet to class. Instructor info here.
