About this event

This event is intended for teens as well as an adult audience. What happens when your phone dies on the trail? In this hands-on workshop, participants will work through an outdoor scenario using classic analog tools like a topographic map, compass, field clues, knots, and emergency signaling methods. Learn practical skills for navigating, observing, and problem-solving outdoors without relying on a screen. About the Presenter: Jeska Clark is an expedition leader and outdoor skills instructor with experience in remote field travel and expedition planning. She previously served on a search and rescue (SAR) team, where she developed practical skills for operating safely and effectively in backcountry and high-stress environments. She is currently planning an Arctic expedition and shares field-tested systems for preparation, decision-making, and resilience in challenging conditions. Questions?
