MODERATE : Butcher Jones Trail

REMINDER: If this is your first hike with the Sun Lakes Hiking Club, it is required to contact the hike leader before your first club hike. Moderate Hike: Butcher Jones Trail at Saguaro Lake is a 4.9 mile in and out hike. TH 1500' AEG 450' 86miles R/T = $7 plus cost of daily pass This is a beautiful in-out trail along the lake with excellent views of distant landmarks such as the Flatiron and Four Peaks. The trail is damaged in some areas due to the rain and is overgrown in spots. Wear long pants. A National Park pass(one pass per car) or Senior America the Beautiful pass is required to park in the lot. Otherwise a Tonto Forest daily pass can be purchased ahead at Big 5 Sports Store. The trail is rocky, and narrow in some places.
