As a young girl, she flees the civil war in her homeland and emigrates to the United States, landing in the heart of 1970s Washington Heights, a neighborhood pulsing with rhythm, resilience, and the energy of the Latin Boom. Immersed in this new world, Milly sets off on a powerful journey of self-discovery, chasing her dreams and finding her voice, and rising to become one of the most influential women in Latin music history and the internationally acclaimed Queen of Merengue.
