Level Two Improv: Fundamentals of Improvised Scenes

You’ve said “yes, and…” — now it’s time to dig deeper. In Level 2, you’ll build on the skills from Intro to Improv and learn how to create grounded, meaningful scenes with strong characters and relationships. This seven-week course focuses on long-form fundamentals, starting with solid two-person scenes and expanding into group work. You’ll also get hands-on practice with “The Armando,” a showcase form where truthful monologues inspire improvised scenes. In this course, you’ll explore: Building a clear “base reality” (Who, What, Where) Using object work to create environments on stage Strong initiations that launch compelling scenes Justifying choices & discovering the “why” behind the scene Performing The Armando in your student showcase Tuesdays, 7-9:30PM Seven weeks, starting April 28 Instructor: John Gerhardt Prerequisite: Level One at Stomping Ground Comedy or equivalent experience with Training Center Director approval. Students must be 18+ and follow the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. All sales are final. (Please note: Eventbrite fees apply at checkout.
