About this event

Reframe your understanding of the joys, purpose, struggles, and successes associated with being both a writer and a member of the wider literary community. In a presentation that spans my 40+-year career as a writer and literary advocate, I will share the hard-earned insights that have informed and inspired my life and work. Together, we’ll explore everything from balancing writing and work in late stage capitalism to membership in (and service to) the literary community. After the presentation, I’ll answer questions from attendees, who will also be able to sign up for one-on-one consultations at a later date. This presentation and discussion is intended for anyone living a literary life in 21st century America: writers at all career stages, editors, and students of writing.
