In this 6-week course, you will learn how to: Use a sewing pattern, Prepare and cut fabric, Learn sewing techniques such as adding pockets, waist elastic, seam finishes, hemming and more! By the end of this 6- week course, you will have a pair of pants to take home to proudly wear! We will wrap up our class on Oct 12th, with our usual mini fashion show to commemorate your accomplishments! 🌺**Who can take this class?:** This is a beginner friendly class for students who have basic sewing machine skills- that's all! We will guide you through the rest🙂 🌺**Supplies Provided:** Sewing machine, thread, sewing tools, and sewing pattern. If you prefer to bring your own sewing machine, you are welcome to do so. 🌺**Students to Bring:** - Fabric (yardage will be provided at the end of class #1 based on measurements) If must order online, for Small-Medium get at least 3 yards, Large and higher will need approximately 4-5 yards depending on height as well.) These are very general guidelines. - Elastic (2 inch wide and long enough to wrap around your waist plus 1 inch extra length (without stretching) *** Suggested fabric options: *Cotton, Quilting Cotton, Poplin, Linen, flannel, Rayon without stretch, Polyester. (NO Stretchy fabric).* *** Where to buy local Fabric; Michael's in Matthews, Hobby Lobby, Sew much Fun, Walmart ***Online fabric stores (you will need your fabric by class #2). 🍎Instructor: Silvia Santos✨️ Silvia is a sewing professional with a bachelor's degree in Fashion Design from Parsons, NY and an AAS in Fashion Design and Fine Arts and illustration. She has extensive industry work experience in fashion design and has taught classes in sewing, pattern making, and knitting.
