🧵 This class focused on hem alteration for jeans/denim. You will learn how to shorten or lengthen jeans from an expert seamstress. Whether you want to preserve the original factory finish, create a clean new hem, or explore creative finishing techniques, this workshop will give you the skills and confidence to do it at home. We will work with denim samples & all materials are provided, but you may bring your own pair of jeans to alter during class. **🧵What You Will Learn:** -How to preserve original hem or create a clean new hem finish -Denim topstitching techniques for a professional look -How to conceal seam allowance using creative techniques -Proper denim sewing techniques for thick fabrics and tools to use. 🧵Who should take this class**:** Anyone with basic sewing skills interested in learning alteration skills. **🧵Supplies Provided:** All materials provided including sample denim to work on. If you prefer to bring your own jeans to alter the length/ hem, you are welcome to do so. **🧵Instructor:** Mila Ivanov is a professional tailor with extensive experience in fashion design, garment construction, fitting, and alterations.
