Kids' Clay Play

Drop the kids off for some fun in the clay studio! Ages 5-12 Ongoing, individual sessions: Saturdays, 10:00am - 12:00pm. $40. Beginner-Advanced, Ages 5-12 **Attendees must pre-register here:** https://www.catalystartscollaborative.com/service-page/kids-clay-play-ages-5-12-sat-10am Ceramics teach a number of a valuable skills, including perseverance, patience, problem solving, and creativity! Bring your kiddos in to come and play with clay and learn how to use this fun medium to create functional and decorative pieces. We'll alternate between learning the basics of handbuilding, wheel throwing, and glazing each week, so sign your kids up for multiple sessions to give them the full experience! Each student will proudly come out of class with at least one or two ceramic pieces that they built themselves. Ceramic artists and experienced teachers, Mindy Curran & Ben Alexander, will facilitate this class. \*Some weeks, this offering will coincide with our ongoing Figure Painting class, meaning you'll get a sneak peek into the world of life drawing! These artists are okay with a reasonable amount of noise/disruption during class, but we ask everyone to be respectful of other classes.
