WHAT TO EXPECT Join Phoenix-based guitarist Jeff Libman for an evening of soulful, swinging organ trio jazz featuring organist Michael Kocour and drummer Jacob Eary. Together, they bring fresh takes on standards, popular songs, and originals—drawing on classic organ trio traditions while delivering a sound that’s unmistakably their own. Libman, praised as “a sensitive guitarist with a graceful, melodic turn” (Jazz Journal), is a longtime Phoenix jazz artist, ASU faculty member, and Vice Chair of The Nash. His latest album, Feet Off the Ground (Cellar Music, 2025), reached #12 on the NACC Jazz Chart and earned acclaim as “a charming listen from beginning to end.” Kocour, Director of Jazz Studies at ASU, is an internationally recognized pianist, organist, and composer who has performed with icons including Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Lovano, Randy Brecker, and the Chicago Symphony. Eary is a versatile Phoenix-based drummer, composer, and educator, known for his dynamic artistry and collaborations with Houston Person, Rachel Eckroth, and more. He maintains monthly residencies across top Phoenix venues.
