Honoring Our Heroes with Toni McKeen

Meeting Room 2, Virtual. Join us for a moving tribute to the courageous young men and women who served our country. Through an engaging exploration of 3 of Washington, D.C.’s most meaningful memorials—the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier—we’ll uncover the powerful stories, symbolism, and special details that make each site unforgettable. Presenter Toni McKeen is a historian and popular lecturer in the tri-state area for the past 20 years. She enjoys presenting lectures on a wide variety of topics from artists and architecture to famous men and women throughout the centuries. Toni loves to share her knowledge of the world with “Post Cards from…”, series, drawing upon her many travels through Europe and around the world. She is also a well-known local genealogist, conducting research on her family for the last 35 years.
