ESOL Beginner Class

Meeting Room 1. Do you want to practice listening, speaking, reading and writing English, and make new friends with others who want to do the same? If your answer is yes, then this class is for you. Join instructor Linda Stephenson for a 60 minute weekly class for beginner English language learners. Registration required--Space is limited! The associated text for this course is English in Action: Level 2. There are a limited number of copies for use at the Library. Students are invited to purchase their own copy for continued study. Linda Stephenson has many years of experience as a language teacher. She has taught at the elementary, middle, high school and college levels, and now, in public library programs. She has a Master’s degree in teaching English to speakers of other languages. She also has a degree in school counseling, and a broad background in the history of art. In addition to ESOL, she teaches Spanish. She is looking forward to meeting everyone at the Tuckahoe Public Library who wants to improve their English language skills, and have a good time doing it!
