Haddy’s Half Birthday
Haddy’s Half Birthday at Lincoln Hall - Dennis Flyer Memorial Theater in Blackwood, NJ on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Haddy’s Half Birthday performing live.
We’re throwing a Half-Birthday Party for Haddonfield’s favorite dinosaur (yes, half-birthdays are absolutely a thing!). The beloved bronze sculpture is turning 22.5, and Downtown Haddonfield and the Borough are celebrating with a full lineup of family-friendly fun. DJ Frank Staff gets the party started in Kings Court at 11:30 AM and the Hampton Brass Quarter will be playing on the Masonic Temple Steps. Kick things off with a Dino Egg Hunt along Kings Highway starting at 12 PM. Dinosaur eggs — with REAL dinosaurs — will be hidden throughout Downtown Haddonfield. One egg per child, please! Those who find the golden certificate inside can exchange it for a DINO-SIZE CUPCAKE AT 3 PM. At 1:30 PM, head to Haddy Lane by the Gazebo for the Dino Dance Off! Costumes are required (dinosaurs, dragons, unicorns, cryptids, and reptiles welcome), and the best moves will win a prize. At 2 PM, don’t miss “A Day in the Life of Haddy,” an immersive storytelling experience from Edelman Fossil Park & Museum. Travel back 66 million years to discover how Haddy the Hadrosaur lived, moved, and survived in a world of towering forests and prehistoric predators. Also in Haddy Lane, enjoy Educational Demos from Edelman Fossil Park and a story time (ending with a bubble dance!) with the Haddonfield Public Library and their book bike at 2:30 PM. At 3:00 PM, gather at the sculpture on Kings Highway and Lantern Lane to sing Happy Birthday to Haddy! Treats from Sweet T’s Bakery will be available while supplies last (for children only, please). While you’re there, be sure to visit our Spring Stroll sponsors in Kings Court — and receive limited FREE face painting too!
