Friday Circle: Tongue drums and frame drums

We you invite you to join us for our next Friday Drum Circle on Friday, July 17, from 6:30–8:00 p.m. ABOUT THE EVENT: Enjoy an evening of rhythm and melody for our July Friday Drum Circle. Whether you play the tongue drum, frame drum, or are completely new to drumming, this circle is a welcoming space to learn new rhythms, connect with others, and enjoy the experience of playing as a group. Bring your own Native American-style frame drum or tongue drum if you have one—or just come ready to join in. Cost: $15 per participant Ages 16+ This class is limited to 25 folks. She started playing the drums over 18 years ago and has developed an interest in world percussion. She plays many different types of drums and her current practice integrates the healing rhythms of the drum with mindfulness and gratitude around nature. Alex has been a member of several percussion groups and performance ensembles in Georgia, Texas, and Minnesota. Alex is the director of the drumHeart festival ensemble and teaches a variety of drum classes and workshops at the Women’s Drum Center. She is excited to share, learn and drum with others!
