About this event
Advance Registration Recommended Join Dr. Marcy for a restorative mindfulness experience that combines forest bathing with a guided cacao tasting. Through mindful walking, sensory awareness, and quiet reflection, participants will deepen their connection to nature while cultivating a sense of quiet reflection. The experience concludes with a ceremonial cacao tasting. Derived from the seeds of the cacao tree (Theobroma cacao), cacao offers a unique botanical connection between plants, culture, and well-being. Long valued by Indigenous cultures of Central and South America, cacao invites participants to reflect on the many ways plants enrich our lives. About the instructor: Dr. Marcy B. Newman, a Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM), has certifications in iRest Yoga Nidra, Caritas Coach, Nurse Coach, and was a VA nurse for over 10 years (mainly doing employee well-being and health promotion). Drawing on her background in acupuncture, holistic coaching, and mindfulness practices, Dr. Marcy creates a welcoming space for relaxation, reflection, and connection with the natural world. She is so grateful to be back in her “spirit” home of Santa Fe!
