About this event
Get up the mountain to beat the heat on this short but steep hike. Alamos Vista trailhead is at the Aspen Vista parking lot off Hyde Park Road, en route to Ski Santa Fe. This trail is a total of slightly under 2.5 miles round trip (out and back) with an almost 1200 ft elevation gain in 1.2 miles starting at about 9900 ft. You will be rewarded with meadows and aspens along the way and views for days at the top. Surface is intermittently rocky, uneven and slippery. Sturdy boots and hiking poles strongly recommended. Participants are required to bring rain gear and sufficient water. Cancellation, if needed, will be through Meetup notifications.
