About this event

October 2nd is FIRST FRIDAY, so we are releasing a new beer! It’s the return of MY OWN MURDER (Black IPA with Ecuadorian Cacao Nibs and Sweet Orange Peel). The Farm will be open from 4-9pm with this new release on draught and in cans. As an added bonus for the release, we will have Live Music with Kurt Lobdell. He will be making his Manor Hill debut from 5-8pm in the Courtyard! Returning just in time for Spooky Season is our Black IPA. Named for the eerie and ominous band of crows who inhabit the farm, this brew takes inspiration from the classic cold weather treat, the chocolate orange, we added Ecuadorian cacao nibs in the mash and sweet orange peel in the boil. And for an extra citrus kick, we double dry hopped it with Mandarina Bavaria, Simcoe, and Columbus hops. The final beer pours opaque black with notes of dark chocolate and cocoa, followed by a touch of orange in the finish. The only trick to this incredibly drinkable treat is how well it disguises the 6.5% ABV. The Farm & Taproom will have with 14 taps featuring farm-brewed beers, hard seltzer, and non-alcoholic hop water, plus multiple options in cans available to go. All seating on the Farm is first come, first served. We have indoor seating, a large covered tent, and plenty of outdoor space to spread out. There are several picnic tables in our field, but we also encourage you to bring your own chairs or even a portable (10×10) pop-up tent for shade and find your new favorite spot with friends. Manor Hill Pizza Trolley will be open with brick-oven Neapolitan pizzas, salads, snacks, novelty ice creams, and more! (please note the Pizza Trolley may close one hour before farm closes.) INFO ON VISITING THE FARM While visiting the farm, be sure to check out our agriculture in action. Our award-winning beers may be our most well-known agricultural product, but our 54-acre working farm has so much more to offer. In fact, the majority of our land is used for agriculture… so you can’t miss it no matter…
