Explore Your Environment: Environmental Educator Workshop Date: Saturday, September 19 Time: 1:00 pm-4:00 pm Sign Up Deadline: Wednesday, September 16 Help your students engage with the world around them using Project Learning Tree’s Explore Your Environment. This K-8 curriculum guide provides dozens of engaging, hands-on activities that can be used to teach about trees, wildlife, water, air, energy, climate change, and more. These investigation-based lessons are designed to take one or two 50-minute periods, are highly adaptable, and can be taught in a variety of settings. This workshop will introduce you to the guide and teach you how to use it as you explore the environment around you with your students. We will also dive into a variety of topics to deepen your understanding of nature and how connected we are to it. Each participant will receive a copy of Explore Your Environment, as well as take home materials to help you get started on your environmental education journey.
