Join hundreds of other volunteers for our signature volunteer event, Everything But The Turkey (EBTT). Volunteers will prepare Thanksgiving-themed side dishes for those experiencing hunger and homelessness in our region – we’ll make Everything But The Turkey! Our program partners at DC Central Kitchen then add turkeys and distribute the meals to partner agencies including homeless shelters, schools, and more. Join the Youth Action Institute’s EBTT table and spend time making collard greens with other teens. Make new friends and earn 2 SSL hours through this program. We invite parents to volunteer as well but to choose a different table! Registration is required for this program and we expect it to fill up quickly! Please note that we request a tax-deductible donation of $20 per person to cover the costs of this program in order to ensure that we are able to purchase high quality ingredients.
