EveryBody Dances @ Yale Schwarzman Center brings local and visiting dance artists to our Dance Studio to teach masterclasses in jazz, hip hop, salsa, modern, contemporary, precision dance and more! All community members are welcome. This week's class is led by Gerald Lovelace teaching a Thriller Choreography Masterclass. Step into one of the most iconic dance moments in music history! In this masterclass, we’ll learn the original choreography from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” music video while exploring the performance qualities that make the piece so memorable. Beyond learning the choreography, we’ll focus on character play, strong lines and shapes, musicality, and committing fully to movement and performance. It’s a great opportunity to work on storytelling through dance while having fun with the theatrical world of “Thriller.” Level: Open Level — all dance backgrounds are welcome. Come ready to move, perform, and have fun! We welcome people ages 15 and under when accompanied by an adult. Doors open at 10:30am.
